The Municipal Pharmacy Office was created to support and caters the Free Prescription Medication Program of our very own Mayor Hon. Cecilio M. Ynares.
In a span of almost one year it has helped countless families across the town of Binangonan to substantially obtain prescription drugs and medications absolutely free of charge thereby reducing or completely eliminating their prescription bills.
MISSION – Promotes the total health of the people of Binangonan especially those living in the poorest
areas by partnering in the provisions of free, safe, effective and high quality essential and life saving drugs.
VISION – Envisions a town in which individuals, families and barangays have the hope and capacity to build conditions that promote total health.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
1. Ensure that high quality, safe and effective drugs and medicines are always available for free especially to the poor.
2. Better health outcomes through provisions of free life saving drugs especially in areas of high morbidity and mortality.
3. Provide information to patient on rational drug use
TARGET CLIENT/AREA OF COVERAGE
Big population of indigent constituents and residents of 21 mainland barangays and 19 island barangays of Binangonan that are mostly jobless
Municipal employees including those under JOB order
Orphanage and other related civic organizations
PROGRAM PLAN AND IMPLEMENTATION
The objective of enhancing availability and access to Free Prescription Medication Program frequently needed by the poor can be achieve through the following :
a. Establishment of Municipal Pharmacy Office
The Municipal Pharmacy Office was established to attend to the basic needs of the people on matters of prescription drugs needed
It seeks to make quality medicines more available for free to the people down to the Barangay level even in the remotest part particularly to the poorest of the poor.
The use of generic products are being encouraged by requiring the medical practitioners to use only generic terminologies in procuring, prescribing, dispensing and administering medicines in order to support and promote the Generics Law of 1988.
b. Monthly Medical –Dental Mission
The local government unit launched monthly medical mission targeting on indigents of
the town through Free medical services and medicines.Hundreds of indigents from different barangays both mainland and island benefited and received free consultations and medicines
c. RHU Physician assigned to provide Free medical services to island barangays
This is an effective way of helping island barangays in providing free medicines and medical attention to indigents in their various jurisdiction.
GUIDELINES FOR AVAILMENT OF DRUGS AND MEDICINES
INDIVIDUAL/INDIGENT
1. Only dated prescription shall be served and duly signed by medical doctor together with Voters ID and Barangay Endorsement signed by Barangay Captain or authorized representative.
2. All prescription must be approved and signed by the mayor.
3. The patients shall be the one to get the medicines. A written authorization shall be presented in case of none appearance.
4. For Municipal employees, all prescription shall be signed by the mayor
5. For traffic enforcers, street sweepers, garbage collector and janitorial services supplied with Multivitamins, it shall only be given on a weekly basis.
A maximum of 10 pcs of each prescribed medicines shall only be given
REQUESTED MEDICINES OF RURAL HEALTH UNIT/BARANGAY/OTHER ORGANIZATION
1. Request of all medicines shall be submitted to Municipal Pharmacy Office three(3) days prior to the date of its actual use.
2. All requests shall be approved and signed by the Mayor
3. A written document/report of medicines received shall be accomplished and submitted in return.
