The
Official Seal of the
Municipality of Binangonan
Province of Rizal
The official seal of Binangonan,
Rizal was designed and done in black and white by Antonio C. Ramos in
1972 during the first term of office of Mayor Casimiro M. Ynares Jr.
In the seal, the artist
features the mainstay industries and some landmarks of the town.
At the upper left hand
corner is shown the Rizal cement factory, below which is a couple of
fish to represent the fishing industries in general. To the right is
Calvary Hill (The Kalbaryo) in Barangay Libid. Under this is the ricefields.
Below are the fishpens
on the Laguna de bay. In this scene (as viewed from the Wawa promontory
in Libis) are the tip of Punong Bayan (in foreground) and Talim Island
with Susong Dalaga (in background). On this scene is superimposed the
number 1621 (the year Binangonan was separated from Morong to become
an independent parish).
The triangle symbolizes
unity and stability. Inside it at the top are bags of construction cement.
Below at left are shoes to represent the industry in local scene. At
the right base are the bamboo furniture set, a product of the island
Barrios.
At the center of the triangle
is the relief map of Binangonan (mainland and Talim).
The stars around the whole
composition represent the barrios (Barangays) of Binangonan, the total
of which at the time was smaller than the present 39.
Municipal
building
The new bigger and
equisite Binangonan Municipal building was built in 2007, situated at Barangay Calumpang.
