Municipal Cooperative Development Council Office

     Pursuant to EO 95-96 Cooperative Development Councils (CDAs) was organized from national to municipal level of all government structure. The primary mandate of the Council is to serve as mechanism for collaboration, consultation and coordination in the implementation of various programs and projects implemented by all government branches, instrumentalities, subdivisions and agencies of the government.

The primary objectives of Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC) of Binangonan chaired by Hon. Napoleon D. Mesa:

1. To help in strengthening the organizational and financial capability of primary cooperatives;
2. To conduct seminars and trainings to raise the level of consciousness of coop leaders; and
3. To help implement income generating projects and activities.

As of this date there are thirty four (34) operating primary cooperatives in our municipality and their combined assets are as follows:
   Total Assets : P125,616,649.13
   Net Surplus : 6,273,618.80
   Cash on Bank : 22,831,351.52
   Paid-up Share Capital : 43,421,399.93

In line with this thrusts the approved Plans & Programs of MCDC for the year stresses on:

Sangguniang Bayan ng Binangonan approved Resolution No. 03-058 declaring that every last Saturday of the month of October of every year is the celebration of “Araw ng Kooperatiba ng Binangonan”. Since then, the sector thru the assistance and support of Hon. Cecilio M. Ynares and the Sangguniang Bayan allotted fund for the said affair.
