Objectives : 1. Availability, readiness of this office to respond, to spearhead organizations from the Mayor’s Office and Administrator’s Office as well. 2. Formation, organization of legitimate activities and programs in relation to our culture, history and traditions if needed. 3. In support of the Education programs of the Municipality, this office screens possible Mayor’s Scholars to URS Binangonan, Angono, Morong and Antipolo following certain sets of criteria. 4. In aid to DSWD, screens children of indigent families to be recipients of educational assistance. 5. To be in front line in disseminating information for Public Service. 6. To function and perform duties as prescribed by law. The following are the implementing guidelines for the Scholarship Assistance Program of the Municipal Mayor – Binangonan, Rizal. I. POLICY. It is the policy of this program to encourage and assist poor but intelligent students to attain quality education, contribute towards community building and help attain national economic prosperity. II. QUALIFICATIONS OF A GRANTEE. To qualify, applicants should possess meet the following. 1. Filipino citizen and a resident of Binangonan, Rizal for the last three (3) years prior to availing scholarship; 2. Twenty-three (23) years or younger; 3. Has a grade of 86 % in Science and Math and a general average of at least 86%; 4. Be of good moral character; 5. Be in good health, and 6. Be able to pass the corresponding interview. III. MAINTENANCE OF SCHOLARSHIP GRANT. Such is always subject to funding availability. 1. Must maintain a general weighted average of 2 every semester. 2. Must carry the prescribed number of units per semester as required in the respective curriculum. 3. Implement other provisions and functions relative to the Scholarship Program, and 4. Must have no INC mark or failing grade. 5. Must not violate any policies, rules and regulations of the University and laws of the State. IV. PRIVILEGES. Every grantee shall be entitled to a maximum amount of P2, 100.00 per semester. 1. Must file their application for Scholarship at the Mayor’s Office – Binangonan, Rizal and to be endorsed to the Director of the University of Rizal System-Binangonan, Rizal. a. Evaluation of grades from the Office of the Registrar b. Certificate of good moral character duly certified by the Guidance Counselor 2. Signing of the MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT V. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Evaluation of grades of previous Semester, 2. Certificate of Good Moral Character as evidence by the following: a. Guidance Counselor b. Barangay Captain 3. Medical Certificate by licensed government physician. 4. One copy of 1 x 1 black and white photo. |
