BUSINESS PERMIT & LICENSING OFFICE

     The Business Permit & Licensing Office as mandated by Municipal Tax Ordinance 2006- 006 has for its main goal the provision of effective systems, procedures and practices in the issuance and renewal of business permits. It regulates the nature and/or operations of various business activities within Binangonan.

SERVICES RENDERED:

1. Assessment of business taxes ,tricycle franchise, boat registration
2. Assessment of occupational permit to applicants who intend to secure employment or those already employed in the municipality.
3. Issuance of plates, stickers to tricycle & fishing boats below 3 tons
4. Approval of business for retirement
5. Provide an effective system of conducting inspections and verifications of all business establishments
6. Provide data and facts to the business sector and the public in general.
7. Approval of business retirement
8. Take necessary measures & systems to generate more revenues.

HOW TO APPLY FOR BUSINESS PERMIT ( Step by Step)

1. Application form for Business from the Municipal Planning & Development Office (MPDO)
2. Fill up the form.
3. Submit duly accomplished form to MPDO and undergo interview for Gross Sales.
4. Presents form with gross sales with the requirements to Business Permit & Licensing Office for computation of taxes & fees payable. Issuance of Tax Order Payment
5. Obtain the Community Tax Certificate(CEDULA) ,pay the taxes and fees payable to the cashier at the Treasurer’s Office.
6. Present Original & Photocopy of Official Receipt & Application for Business for control no.
7. Obtain Clearances from different offices namely Health/Sanitary, Fire, Engineering, SSS.
8. MPDO releases Mayor’s Permit for signature of the Administrator and the Mayor.
9. Show approved business permit for issuance of Business Plate by the Administration Office.

FOR RENEWAL

A. Previous year’s Mayor’s Permit
B. Barangay Clearance
C. Community Tax Certificate
D. Latest Financial Statement/Latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
E. Certificate of tax exemption if any

REQUIREMENTS FOR RETIREMENT OF BUSINESS

1. Original Mayor’s Permit, Business Plate
2. Sworn Statement of its gross sales
3. Financial Statements & Income Tax Return
4. Payment of Business Tax if there is any Tax due


REQUIREMENTS FOR OCCUPATIONAL / WORKING PERMIT

     The application must be received and approved by the BPLO before engaging in occupation in the city and should be renewed annually before the 20th of January. This is required for all workers in restaurant and eateries, videoke bar, beauty parlor or spas and other subject to inspection & surveillance.

     The Municipal Government of Binangonan sets up a ONE-STOP-SHOP for business licensing from January 2 up to January 31 annually .Businessmen are encouraged to avail of this service for faster processing. Another customer-oriented measure is the “no lunch break” policy.


TIME OF PAYMENT

     Tax on business based on the preceding year gross receipts shall accrue within the first twenty ( 20 ) days of January or in quarterly installments within the first twenty (20) days of January, April, July, and October of each year. The Sangguniang Bayan may, for a justifiable reason or cause, extend the time for payment of such taxes without surcharges or penalties, but only for a period not exceeding six ( 6 ) months.


REQUIREMENTS FOR TRICYCLE FRANCHISE

NEW/RENEWAL

1. Community Tax Certificate (CEDULA)
2. Barangay Clearance
3. Latest Franchise
4. Original and photocopies of the Certificate of Registration (CR) and latest Official Receipt (OR) of the motorcycle/tricycle issued by the Land Transportation (LTO)
5. Certification from Accredited TODA Associations (Local TODA)
6. Certification from the FEDERATION
7. Other documents that maybe required as necessary in case of changes, For example, Deed of Sale


REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION OF FISHING VESSEL

1. Barangay Clearance
2. Community Tax Certificate( CEDULA )
3. Measurement of Fishing Vessels
4. Proof of Ownership ( Purchase Receipt / Affidavit of Ownership )
