Agriculture Organizational Chart
INTRODUCTION
The Municipal Agriculture Office’s main thrust is to increase the productivity and income of farm families and fisherfolks thru the provision of adequate and timely production support services, technical assistance, technology transfer, research and development, and administrative services. Likewise, this office also aims to empower the youth and the Women Sector and strengthen existing institutional organization namely: Binangonan Municipal Farmers Federation, Inc. MAFC, Farmers associations, FARMC, Vegetable Farmers Association, and 4-H Club.
Presently, the organizational structure of this office is as follows:

VISION:
A modern and sustainable Agriculture which is environment friendly, productive and feasible
MISSION:
Adoption of new technologies through continues education and training, and delivery of timely and adequate basic services to attain satisfaction, food sufficiency and economic growth among the clienteles and the municipality as a whole
FUNCTION:
1. Formulates farm/family development and food production plan to raise income of clienteles.
2. Supervise/promotes/conduct the transfer of packages of technology, researches and project for agricultural development.
3. Promotes/organizes/maintain municipal federation of clienteles organizations.
4. Coordinate with national and local agency representatives in the implementation of agricultural programs and projects in accordance with the basic needs and potentials of the municipality covered.
5. Economic development thru promotion and development of modern agricultural information and facilities.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To increase the productivity and income of agricultural clienteles.
2. To attain self sufficiency in rice and other commodities.
3. To ensure long-term sustainability of the agricultural resources base.
4. To provide livelihood support thru the conduct of trainings and seminars.
5. To eradicate/minimize occurrence of animal diseases and rabies incidence thru proper information dissemination, prevention and treatment.
6. To maintain/support organizational set-up for multiplier effects.
7. To uplift our clienteles toward greater productivity and agricultural development in the municipality.
PROGRAMS
I. CROPS DEVELOPMENT
1. Production Support Services - Provision of the following support services to rice and vegetable farmers
1. Fertilizer Subsidy
2. Irrigation Facilities
3. Extension Services
4. Loans and Credit Assistance
5. Dryers
6. Seeds – Hybrid Vegetables Seeds and High Yielding Varieties for Rice
2. Field Monitoring and Evaluation - Gathering and consolidation of data on farm production, technology and variety adoption/performance, fertilization level, price of agricultural products and other data which are vital for policy formulation, research and for the information of the different stakeholders of the Agriculture Sector.
3. Technology Transfer – Conduct of extension work, field demos, trainings and establishment of techno demo farms on rice and vegetable.
4. Technical Services – Render technical assistance in all the places and growth stages of rice, vegetables and mango farming through field visits and participation in the DA Regional and Provincial Management Meetings, consultations, congress, planning and conferences.
5. Research Development – Continuous research and development through the adoption of the recent technologies in agricultural production and fisheries development
• Improvement of cultural practices
• Utilization of indigenous and waste materials as fertilizer
• Integrated Pest and Nutrient management
6. Organic Farming – Realizing the ill-effects of chemical use to people’s health and the environment, this office will promote gradually the adherence of our farmers to organic farming.
7. Urban Agriculture – Since spaces for planting are becoming lesser through the years, urban agriculture will be promoted to the residents through container gardening.
8. General Administrative and other Support Services – formulation of short, medium and long term plans and programs of the office.

III. FISHERIES DEVELOPMENT
1. Amendment and enactment of Municipal Fishery Ordinance through the assistance of the Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (MFARMC)
2. Continuous coordination with national agencies like BFAR for fingerlings assistance to increase average fish catch of fisherfolks.
3. Strengthening of our Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (MFARMC)
4. Dispersal of freshwater Tilapia fingerlings to registered fisherfolk association in the Municipality.
IV . INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
1. Institutional Organizational Development – strengthen existing institutional organizations with accreditation by the LGU namely:

V. ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE
Environment Management and River Rehabilitation Assistance – thru continuous request of shade trees and fruit tree seedlings from LLDA for distribution and planting to barangays, schools, lakeshore and denuded forest of Binangonan.
VI. LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM/INCOME GENERATING PROJECT
To mitigate poverty in the Municipality, this office offers the following income generating projects to empower the youth and the Women Sector:
