Natural Vegetation and Wildlife

Local forest is generally classified as Savana. Its vegetation is characterized by the growth of talahib cogon, native ipil-ipil, madre cacao and bamboos. Fruit bearing trees like mango, atis, duhat, bignay are grown in both upland and lowland. Trees of dipterocarp species, the source of lumber, are seldom found the municipality. However, there are species like narra and mahogany cultivated in the lowland.

Monkeys can be found in Mt. Susong Dalaga in Talim Island. There are no more wild animals, only birds in the town upland areas.
